#StudyHall at the Grove: Learn Together in a Judgment-Free Zone

For any of you who are interested in learning about coding (curious, founder who needs to become more technical, looking for a new career), Independent Software is holding a “Study Hall” every Thursday evening in 2012 (except during LaunchHaven) at the Grove.

We won’t be giving classes per se – this is just going to be a group of people learning together. There are no prerequisites – just a desire to learn.

For anyone who wants to join, we’re going to start by going through the curriculum of Learn Ruby The Hard Way (http://ruby.learncodethehardway.org/book/). Try to do the first 3 lessons ahead of time if you plan to come.

If you feel like you need something more basic, try http://www.codecademy.com/#!/exercises/0 first.

When: Thursdays in 2012 (5:00pm – 7:00pm)
Where: The Grove
71 Orange St.
New Haven, CT 06510

  1. Round 2 begins this morning. Reviewing the CodeAcademy offerings, and some others. Will also be looking at LRTHW chapters.

  2. Today, Feb. 9, 2012, I won’t be at #StudyHall – but Tim may be. If we miss you, be sure to let us know how your study went this morning.
