Startup Weekend New Haven 2012 Registration Is Open

Are you a budding entrepreneur waiting for just the right time to start working on your idea?  A designer or developer who wants to spend a weekend practicing your trade, and being the expert in the room?  Are you just interested and excited about the idea of working with a startup team to create something new?

If you answer to any of these questions is “yes,” then stop what you’re doing and register for Startup Weekend New Haven.  This 54-hour, weekend long event (held from November 9th through 11th, 2012) brings individuals together to form teams and move from dreaming to doing.  

But the weekend does more than just bring together teams – that’s why the Whiteboard is a media sponsor of Startup Weekend.   Startup Weekend creates an environment that helps you succeed – getting further, faster than teams and individuals can on their own:

- Coaching: We bring a team of coaches pulled from the local startup community to help you learn from people who’ve done it before.

- Prizes: You and your team have the chance to win prizes that help your team move forward, like team space, legal and accounting services.  That ongoing support helps you after the Weekend is over; the teams that have won past events have gone on to enter accelerators, raise funding, win customers and more.

- Community: No matter how you participate in the weekend, you walk away with relationships to other entrepreneurs, coaches, and others who will support your success after the prizes are awarded, and everyone goes home.  The Whiteboard, like an on-ramp to the entrepreneurial community, helps you stay connected and informed through our social media platform and ongoing events.

We’re also proud to be part of a global movement. Startup Weekend is a global grassroots movement of active and empowered entrepreneurs who are learning the basics of founding startups and launching successful ventures. It is the largest community of passionate entrepreneurs with over 685 past events in more than 320 cities around the world.
