Space Now Available in Bridgeport Incubator

Entrepreneurs know that launching a startup can be a lonely road – but it doesn’t have to be.  Connecticut’s innovation ecosystem has come a long way in a short period of time, and now features co-working spaces, maker spaces, and incubators to help entrepreneurs plug in to what they need to move forward.  These spaces offer a setting that facilitates communication, networking, and collaboration.

Today, we share exciting news about space out of Bridgeport.  The CTech incUBator, located on Myrtle Avenue and situated a short walk from the University of Bridgeport campus, has annouced that they have space to accept new startups.  Their highly connected space comes with all of the ammenities you’d expect out of an incubator (business services, a comfortable work setting, vibrant community, etc.), but with an extra flair.  Because of its proximity to one of the state’s leading universities, startups housed in the Bridgeport incUBator can expect to benefit from access to student interns with wide-ranging skill sets.

As the first and only university-based incubator for tech start-ups and early stage companies in Connecticut, the CTech incUBator’s purpose is to assist in commercializing new technologies.

This 2400 sq. ft. office space houses up to six ventures and facilitates commercialization of technology initially focusing on information technology, digital media, advanced materials and clean tech businesses.  Businesses in the STEM classifications (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) will be considered for residence.

The CTech IncUBator provides:

  • Favorable rents for fully furnished offices, including utilities and access to internet
  • Shared support services
  • Pro-bono and discounted professional services assistance (e.g. legal, accounting, intellectual property, technology, etc.)
  • Access to UB resources, faculty members and student interns
