Congratulations, eBrevia!

In August of 2012, five Connecticut startups converged on LaunchHaven to pitch their products, and compete to earn the chance to repitch at DEMO.

By the end of the night, which was co-sponsored by Startup Connecticut, eBrevia was selected to move on to the next round, and became one of four Startup America companies nationally presenting on the DEMO main stage.

Startup Weekend Hartford: HEALTH Launches New Entrepreneurial Teams

Over this last weekend, health and wellness-minded entrepreneurs, engineers, and developers came together as part of Startup Weekend Hartford HEALTH, Hartford’s second annual Startup Weekend. The winners were Movid (a platform for physical therapy videos), eGency (an application to help healthcare consumers make choices based on wait times at facilities), and Farmer’s Garden (a collaborative gardening, local food app). 2011-12 Connecticut Collegiate Business Plan Competition (Application Due By April 11th)

If you’re a Connecticut university student in the market for some funding for your business plan, check out the Connecticut Collegiate Business Plan competition. The competition, brought to you by the Entrepreneurship Foundation (also a Startup Weekend New Haven sponsor), is accepting applications until April 11th.
